OUR NEW PROCEDURES FOR CORONAVIRUS PREVENTION As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread around the world, we have a heightened awareness at Birthline of Colorado of our responsibility to our clients, volunteers, our item donors and communities during this important time. We hope that you and your family are healthy and are not experiencing any difficulties with this public health situation. With this in mind, and with the desire to be able to continue to help you with needed items for yourself and your children, we will have a completely new procedure to follow for at least the next four months, unless otherwise notified. PROCEDURES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE a) You will still be required to have an appointment to come in for items and or pregnancy tests. b) Pregnancy tests appointment clients will be required to wear a mask and gloves which we will supply. Pregnancy test appointment clients will be required to wait in their vehicles or if necessary, on the porch (not in the reception area), until ready to be seen. c) NO pregnancy or regular ladies’ clothes will be available at this time, without the approval of the Executive Director (Claire Wahl). As per above, clients needing children’s clothing items etc. will also be required to have an appointment. a) Bring your properly and fully completed Birthline form (list of needs), ring the bell and place your form thru the front door mail slot. We will verbally let you know we received your form. Wait until the Volunteer pulls out your file and verifies what we have as your address & telephone. Then please wait patiently in your vehicle until the volunteer pulls your requested items as per your form. b) Once we bag requested items (that we have in stock) and are ready, the volunteer will place those bags on the porch and wave for you to come and get them. Bags will be marked with your first name near the top so as not to take another client’s bags by mistake. It is your responsibility to watch for the volunteer to wave to you that your bags are on the porch. SORRY, BUT NO GARAGE ITEMS(except for New Layettes), will be available until further notice. As a further precautionary means of not transmitting any possible virus, the volunteer will drag the new layette bag out of the garage and close the big door before you get out of your vehicle to pick it up. The layette bags are VERY heavy, so please have someone with you to help load them into your vehicle. Anyone who has had a C Section MUST have someone to lift the layette bag into the vehicle. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience, but we feel the need to do all we can to protect you and our volunteers, and to help the prevention of this virus. You don’t have to be sick or infected to be a carrier.
